February 16th - 19th. Model Railways Visit the annual Model Railway Exhibition at the National Slate Museum, adjacent to our Gilfach Ddu station. See the models then ride on the real thing!
April 6th - 10th. Easter Egg Hunt Hunt for the Easter Eggs cunningly hidden around the railway and stations. Prizes for the kids. Look out forthe White Rabbit!
June 30th - July 1st. "Alice" Gala Abandoned in her shed high on the mountain when Dinorwic Quarry closed, "Alice" was the last loco to be rescued. She returns to her spiritual home for the first time for a very special Gala, complete with restored Dinorwic Quarry slate waggons. Supplementary fares will apply.
August 27th - 30th. Teddy Bears' Picnic Our very own Padarn Bear will be inviting his friends to visit us with lots of fun events for kids. Enjoy a picnic at our lakeside picnic area.
October 28th - 31st. Halloween Hunt
Dare you ride the ghostly train through the Witches Woods to seek out the spirits and spooks?
December 2, 8/9, 15/16. Santa Trains!
Santa makes his annual visit to the railway. There are presents
for all the kids and a mince pie and seasonal drink for the grown-ups.

Llanberis Lake Railway - the only heritage
railway to feature in the new Rough Guide to Accessible Britain.
The Rough
Guide to Accessible Britain is newly published by Rough Guides
in association with the disabled charity Motability. It features
100 places to visit in the UK which are accessible to disabled persons,
and gives a fully researched independent view of each attraction.
The Llanberis Lake Railway is proud to be the only heritage railway
to feature in the Guide. The railway's trains have specially adapted
wheelchair carriages which will accommodate up to five wheelchairs
or scooters and give the occupants a 360 degree view of the spectacular
Snowdonia scenery. Access throughout the stations is level or ramped,
and as the carriage floors are at the same height as the platforms
getting in and out of the trains is simplicity itself.

The Discount Card entitles the holder to 20% off one adult full
round trip fare on normal timetabled trains on the participating
Railways listed on the card, and is valid for 12 months from the
date the first journey is made.

arranged with selected accommodation providers close to many of
